Visit us at http://www.interplay.com/basic/ to get cool stuff.  You'll find more BASIC game projects for you to play and modify, programmed by Interplay and Stepping Stone programmers.  You can also trade your programs with other LTPB programmers!  It's a place for you to upload your cool BASIC creations for everyone to see.

Coming Soon:  A "runtime module" that lets you give copies of your programs to friends!  (Without the runtime module, your friends will all need to purchase Learn To Program BASIC to run your programs.  If you have a crazy friend who hasn't purchased LTPB, they can still run your programs if they download the runtime module instead.)

  16. Learn To Program BASIC has been tested on many system configurations and has been found to be highly compatible with most hardware.  A minimum 2X CD-ROM is required, but you will get better movie playback with a faster CD-ROM drive.

  18. You may get better performance if you turn off AppleTalk (using the Chooser) and any unnecessary extensions that may be using the idle time of the computer.

  20. If you are using a Javelin video card, you must set the video card to 256 colors before running the program.

  22. The "Page Setup" dialog box exists only so you can turn off the "Substitute Fonts" option.  If you experience trouble with text formatting while printing out Glossary or Review pages, turn "Substitute Fonts" off and try again.

  24. The page range options of the Print dialog are disabled -- when you choose Print, your entire BASIC program will be printed.

  26. If you customarily use "Control Strip" on your system, you may find you get better video performance during movies if you turn this off before running Learn To Program BASIC.

  30. Just double-click the "Install Learn To Program BASIC" icon to install the program to your hard disk.  (You'll still need the CD-ROM present in your CD-ROM drive when running Learn To Program BASIC.)

  32. QuickTime 2.5 or higher is required to run Learn To Program BASIC.  If you do not have QuickTime 2.5 or higher on your computer, visit http://quicktime.apple.com/ for the latest version of the QuickTime extensions.

  34. UNINSTALLING:

  36. You can uninstall Learn To Program BASIC¬ by throwing the installed folder in the Trash.  What, are you crazy?
